She had been intensely nectaring for two days straight. When I didn’t see her on Monday, I knew that Sunday was her last day. Over the course of the summer, I never saw a male but at one point I did have two females. Didn’t notice feeding as much on my Rose of Sharons this year as in previous years. My Rose of Sharons are still in bloom and the feeder still has lots of nectar. The weather is quite warm. None of these factors encouraged her to stay. Safe journey
