One of 2 young male rubythroats in photo. Another older male that is also watching early 7 a.m Rufous chasing others off 'his' feeder. Rufous won first chase round at 6:45 a.m. to go to feeder. All I could see was an orange flash going quick back and forth with another hummingbird in front of him. Until he could sit to sip a long time.
This goes on all day and they go up into oak trees to stay cool . 103 yesterday. 105 predicted today.
Then, you know, still here juvenile male rubythroat that sits on desert willow tree twig runs off other 3 juveniles outback. He did go to potted Purple, Black and blue gurantica, orange Sky scraper salvia, inground Hamelias. Controlling those plants also.
Two are on driveway side are able to go to a feeder.
I'm glad they are looking better gaining weight.
