Hummingbird Sighting (Adult Male)
Sightings report image

Date: 09/08/2023

Number: 2

Picture taken this Friday @ 3:12 pm. This male hummer sat on the rim of the little glass dish for around 10 mins. The glass dish is filled with cold water that the tiny feeder sits in, so it keeps the sugar water in the tiny feeder cool during these heat wave we are having. I go outside off and on during the day adding fresh cold water to the dish. My hummers love the tiny feeders.

I only seen two hummers chasing each other around yard this morning, so my third hummer may have moved on, I'm guessing I just missed seeing all three since I was gone for sometime today.

I'm not sure what the early morning temp was this morning, but at 9:35am it was 92 degrees and at the time this picture was taken it was 108 degrees, right now at 6:00 pm it's 110 degrees! Relief is in site, next week expect to see temps in the 80's during the day and 60's at night!
