Each afternoon this week a single adult monarch has been feeding at our butterfly bush for several hours. It could be there even longer; I check on my way home from work, and there it is! Tonight, I saw it there as late as 7 p.m. It is frequently pestered by our hummingbirds and today a Gulf Fritillary seemed to be chasing it as well. But it continues to stay, and I'm so glad. I believe it is a male in good condition, but don't have a photo that confirms this.
