Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/06/2023

Number: 5

I know you want accurate dates but I just found out about your site. I grow milkweed and get yearly catipillars.

From this summer I personally saw 5 monarchs — the most I’ve ever seen. I watched 3 lay eggs. I counted at least 5 hatched — and two that appears dried up the others I don’t know they eat then disappear. It began mid July and the last egg laying was 8/15/23 where one laid 4 eggs and of those 4 3 hatched two dried up sadly and the third I transferred to the bigger strand where it ate a few days. Here’s some photos
Photo of larva are from 8/6/23
I saw babies fro. Last eggs a week or more ago.
