Just a note to say that this morning I can verify that one of this year’s brood is definitely male He flashed his throat when he came close to look me in the eyes just like his mother does :) Then went back to nectar on the tropical milkweed only my arm length away
Next year could get even more interesting with 3 males + mom claiming territory that includes my deck and yard Provided he makes it back
They’ve gotten used to me and my disinterested older cat since momma first brought them around for introductions and training when they fledged
A female had just done the same
