We returned from vacation last night, I checked the milkweed this morning just prior to a thunderstorm. Three #1 instars! I haven't had Monarch eggs or #1 instar caterpillars in Sept since 2017. The last time I released any adults in Sept was 2020. Perfect timing, I will be teaching fifty 4th graders on Oct 6th.
