Here and Gone
At about 3:35 PM I spotted this Monarch Butterfly nectaring on a Tithonia blossom by the deck on the south side of our house. I grabbed my camera but only got one shot (badly out of focus, sorry) before it took off heading west.
At the time, the air temperature was 70°F and slowly rising, the dew point was 48°F, the humidity was 46% and slowly dropping, the air pressure was 28.77 inches and slowly dropping, and there was a 9 mph breeze blowing from the NNW under partly cloudy skies.
