Rosetta McClain Gardens, Scarborough, ON, Canada at the top of Lake Ontario's bluffs.
A cool day of 15 -16 degrees C. Wind 14 Km from the NNW. A steady stream of monarchs from 10:00 - 16:30 when we had to leave. Tagged 144. Females 56. Males 88. About 175 fly overs. Some were at the treetops heading NNW. Others would start low (4 feet above ground) and dance up to the tree tops and out of the Gardens. Some stopped to nectar on butterfly bush, Mexican sunflower. Sun was in and out duringthe day.
