Observation time 6:30pm until 7:00pm. Temperature at the time was 72 degrees with overnight expected lows in the high 40-degree range. Wind was gusting to 8mph out of the NW under partly cloudy skies. All three observed ruby-throat hummers were female and acted like they might still be resident hummers. Hummers were also getting nectar from several varieties of Rose-of-Sharon bushes, garden phlox, hanging baskets of petunias and some zinnias.
