Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers
Sightings report image

Date: 09/15/2023

Number: 2

Picture taken on Friday morning @ 7:41 am. She was all in the Turks Cap Flowers and took a break and sat on chain link fence for a bit.

Morning started off nice and cool @ 7:44 am it was 70 degrees and expected high is 85 degrees. We got a very light sprinkle in the mid morning.

Only seeing two female hummingbirds, they are going to the feeders and flowers. I'm saying two hummers, because I seen two playing chase. Always possible one wasn't playing chase at the same time and was busy taking sips of nectar from the flowers or feeder.

Flowers in my yard are: Tall Purple Mexican Pentunias, Rose Mallow bush, it has more flowers, it has put out more flowers on it since it's cooled down and we've got rain, a hanging basket of Red Pentunias, a pot of Red Pentas in a tall plant stand and some Garden Phlox.
