Sightings report image

Date: 09/16/2023

This year, surprisingly , I've seen more species of butterflies locally than previously. The Red Admiral, Baltimore Checkerspot, two types of fritillaries, as well as Luna moths and others. We have a large flower garden and I've watched several types of swallowtail butterflies also. Insect life in general has been more varied. Praying mantisses, stick insects and mantis flies have been observed. I'm not sure what is happening.
