Good Morning Journey North! I have just spotted a small female ruby throated hummingbird at my front feeder. The time is approximately 10:00 am on Saturday September 16, 2023. My summer residents have all left, so this little girl is traveling through, making a stop here on her long journey south. I usually don’t see any hummingbirds past September 17, so we shall see what Mother Nature has in store this year!

I added fresh nectar two days ago and the weather has been cooler, so this batch is still fresh. I will change it again on Monday morning, in case I get any more travelers!
