Sightings report image

Date: 09/16/2023

Number: 15

This little guy in photo one of 15 without tail still here. Guards the whole pergola area. He sits in Desert willow tree twig and doesn't like song birds or rubythroats to chase them out if his spot. He nectars from barely blooming purple gurantica under tree. I yet to id what he is but can only see the green dot pattern of a possible Rufous on his throat. A touch of orange above eyes. He has a cotton ball bottom. The tail if it would just grow out can determine if it's a mad agressive Rufous.

All other 14 rubythroats are still a mix of different ages that of females and young male rubythroats. With still new ones streaming in. We keep refilling 8 feeders daily.
