Sighted two monarchs between 2:00 - 2:30 pm. One smaller size and darker color, one larger and lighter but still good bright color, gender unknown. They landed variously on purple phlox and a sunflower but didn't remain long enough to nectar. Both circled around the front yard briefly, each leaving in a southerly direction. Weather sunny, temperature 80 degrees, wind low appx 6 mph.
