Rosetta McClain Gardens, Scarborough, ON, Canada on the Bluffs of Lake Ontario. What an exciting day we had. Tagged 39 monarchs then were out of tags. However, their was a burst of monarch migration between 11:40-12:10. The monarchs were flying at flower blossom level to specs in the sky. Some stopped to nectar. I think the estimate of 2500 is low. The monarchs continued to move through after, 12:10 but not near as many. The most that I have observed migrating at a moment in time since 2013 at Rosetta.
