Surprised to see one mottled color juvenile ruby throated today…not at feeder- lot of rain last night, over 3” so feeder contents probably diluted.

It was feeding in late afternoon approx 5:30pm..drinking from dark purple traditional petunias and flowers of coleus plants. Did some snacking then off into the grove of trees in my back yard
