Sightings report image

Date: 09/20/2023

Number: 3

Picture taken this Wednesday morning @ 11:13 am.

Temp @ 6:13 this morning was 72 degrees, the high got up to around 93 degrees. We got 3/8ths inches of rain late last night.

Seen three hummingbirds this morning, one was chasing another and then a third appeared.

This one sitting up on the line ready to run off any other hummers that attempt to come to the feeders or flowers.

I seen them often at the Turks Cap flowers and a few times at the feeder.

Flowers available for our hummers are: Turks Cap, Tall Mexican Petunias, Rose Mallow bush, hanging basket of red Petunias, pot of Red Pentas in a tall plant stand, vine with purple Clematis (not very many on the vine) some morning glories that have popped up on my fence, Garden Phlox, a Big Crepe Myrtle tree in my front yard. I have a Fire Bush that have lots of buds on it, none opened up yet. I got a couple of tiny feeders out for them and the common glass feeder that has four ports for them to drink from.
