Sorry for my neglect in reporting tis season! I keep records. Preserving produce is always a conflict with hummingbird viewing :) It has been a very busy summer for the little hummingbirds! I will give a recap as follows: all RubyThroated sightings this summer.
Regulars (8 or more migrating) are gone.
9-8 a.m. 6:45, 6:55 a.m. tiny ruby female perching. 5:43 p.m. adult male fat ruby :) long perched drinks.
9-6 mature female several times all day (even 6 p.m. perched and feeding in the pouring rain :) also 6:15 p.m. a male juvenile with gray throat.
9-5 hot & humid, 10:00 a.m female 3:00 pm adult male ruby. Flurry of activity has ended. Only occasional sighting now.
