Number: 8

'No tail' in photo one of 8 still here only goes to flowers that are high up plants. Switched from purple gurantica area. Rather Hamelia pattens, and Coral porterweed today. He doesn't go to feeders yet avoiding territorial battles.

There is still one young male, several young male rubythroats, and yesterday females that went to flowers and feeders- briefly.

They sit in their spots watching for any getting in their space or any newcomers traveling in. One young male sat on a dried up honeysuckle twig all day looking out of kitchen window feeder. There could be more but it's hot again in 102 heat index. They sit up in trees when hot.

One more small wave maybe by this weekend. In which this Saturday is Sept 23, 2023, first day of fall.

It really was uncomfortable trying not to be in the way of those terrible zooming male juvenile fights right at my face at times. Sitting out early a.m. I got provoked at them.
