Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/21/2023

Number: 50

Red throated hummingbirds have been here for about two and a half weeks. I have 8 feeders out. I am uncertain how many came through here and left. I do know they have gone through about 2 gallons of nectar so far. Some days I had to fill the feeders up twice. I had about a day of slower feeding where I didn’t have to refill any, then this morning when I went out to check, I needed to fill 4 of them. There are about 50 or more that have been swarming and eating today. I see them feeding on my many Cajun hibiscus plants.
