This beauty just hatched on our Sacramento fence a couple of days ago. There’s another cocoon next to this one that we are waiting for her to hatch, maybe today. We also have at least a dozen or more caterpillars munching their way to butterfly rock stardom. This is the first time they’ve returned since we started planting milkweed about 7 years ago—it’s SO EXCITING!!!!
