I saw the first female Monarch on Sept. 19th, flying around my plants appearing to be laying eggs and not fueling up. I tried for several minutes to get a photo, but no luck. Then another female Monarch (Sept.21st) was flying around in another patch of Milkweed and I was able to get this shot. Hard to see, but it was the best one I could get. Looked like she was laying eggs AND fueling up.
