Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/23/2023

Number: 1

Picture taken this Saturday morning @ 10:26 am.

Today started out warm, it was 80 degrees @ 7:17 am and it's now 97 degrees at 7:17 pm.

Seen a hummingbird at the Turks Cap flowers off and on today. I don't know if this is one that's been here or one passing through. Caught this one at the feeder @ 10:26 am. I have stretchy fabric over the glass at this feeder and I wet it down with nice cool water from inside the house off and on through the day to keep the sugar water cool.

Main source of nectar comes from the two groups of Turks Cap flowers. They also like the red Pentas in the plant stand right there by the feeder. I have other flowers for them, but their favorite is the Turks Cap flowers.
