Chisholm Creek Park-Wichita, KS

Observed flights of Adult Monarchs nectaring on Maximillian Sunflower and Goldenrod just to the north of the Great Plains Nature Center this morning between 930 am and 1030 am. I estimate a total of 50 to 100 came through. After 1030 they came through sporatically. This was the largest group that I had seen here this fall. Most nectared only briefly before flying on south. Sunny with light northly winds fo 5-10 mph.
