Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/24/2023

Number: 15

About 15 to 18 migrating Ruby throated hummingbirds arrived on Wednesday and have been busy nectaring on billions of blossoms and 21 feeders. One of the migrants with center gorget feathers was in the greenhouse, perching on the exact same branch of Peanut butter fruit tree (Bunchosia argentea) where Columbus perched in winter. See the bird in the above photo. Migrants may leave when the storm ends.
