Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/24/2023

Number: 6

This puffed up ruby-throated hummer liked to take it easy on the back of a deck chair. No doubt taking it easy for the rest of the journey south. Once again they nectared heavily from black-and-blue salvias, cigar flowers and nectar feeders. A little less fighting going on. The day was cloudy with a high of 62°. Heavy rain fell overnight. Quitting time was at 7:23 p.m. central daylight time.
