This little ruby throat caught my eye this morning at 8:30 hovering on our patio. It nectared on the citronella,
but mostly on the vermillionairre plant non-stop for about 90 minutes. It also rested on the shepherds hook. I snapped a few photos but they aren't very good. It appears to have a wound on it's chest, but otherwise very healthy. It came back around 1:00 and I haven't seen it since. Perhaps it is a traveler passing through.
