This ruby-throat spent most of the day hanging out perching in this dead lilac or the near by spruce tree. I only saw her nectaring at the black-and-blue salvias. The migration countdown is really on now as we had six ruby-throats yesterday. Seemed to see only 3 today. Hope to get at least one October sighting this year. High temperature was 64° early in the day and dropped from there. It was cloudy all day with rain showers off and on.
