Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/26/2023

Number: 4

Have 4 ruby-throated hummingbirds here today. Look close to see the head of this female or juvenile male sticking its head up over the far petal of the nectar feeder surveying the landscape for competitors. Not much feeding took place today as the 4 were mostly perching in spruce, ash, and dead lilac trees trying to stay warm and dry during rain squalls. Weather was chilly with high temperature in low 60's and rain most of the day. Hope we have ruby-throats still here in October.
