A patch of dark blue salvias and a blooming sweet potato vine were being visited by a noisy crowd of hummingbirds in the Sensory Garden at the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. There was much less fighting that usual. A couple of hummingbirds were also darting around the main display garden, where they had their choice of several kinds of salvias, several kinds of cannas, and many other flowers.
