Chisholm Creek Park…Wchita, KS

Monarch sightings in the park peaked on the 24th. There is a Monarch Waystation in the park that attracts them and in previous years a roost site next to the Waystation. I have been at the Waystation site from 930-1130am the mornings of the 24th thru today, the 27th. 50-100 seen on the 24th, 50-75 on the 25th, maybe 30 on the 26th and maybe 20 today. I have not seen a significant roost anywhere in the park this fall. In years past there have been one or two known roosting sites.
We tagged 23 Monarchs here so far. Little to no wind today. All Monarchs headed south.
