Monarch, Captive-Reared
Sightings report image

Date: 09/28/2023

Number: 1

I fed the caterpillar honeyvine. It made a "J" on September 17 and formed a chryslis the following day. It stayed bright green until the evening of September 27 when it appeared much darker, and when I awoke early the morning of September 28, I had a perfect, healthy female Monarch. I released her after the sun was up good and she was easily flitting about her enclosure.
