I have planted a lot of milkweed on my property, which is pesticide-free. So far this summer I have seen 2 monarch caterpillars eating the milkweed. I followed their progress thru instar 5. Then, like magic, I had 2 chryssalis hanging under my bench on my porch.
Emerged successfully .
Have seen adult monarchs in my yard this week
