This is the youngest Juvenile I posted earlier. It had a very hard time to get flowers/feeders last week due to aggressive older migrants. Most days it nectared from Tier-B plants that most would not visit at this time of the year (Gaillardia, Ageratum, Emilia coccinea) and drank from a hummzinger hummblossom feeder that hummingbirds don't prefer. They have to perch and look down to insert and retract their beaks and can easily be caught by predators while doing so. This Juvenile is chirping a lot and flying around flowers happily today.
