Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/28/2023

Number: 3

3 ruby throated hummingbirds observed today. We are getting down to the tail-end now, since 7 were observed yesterday. I think 2 that arrived yesterday evening left today but 2 arrived today. A nice plump juvenile male RTHB was one that left today. The juvenile in this picture arrived yesterday and was here all day. Nectaring was mostly from feeders and black-and-blue salvias. High temperature was 70° with mostly cloudy skies. The last hummer observed stuck around a little later this evening quitting at 7:11 p.m. (7:06 yesterday evening) central daylight time.
