Sightings report image

Date: 09/28/2023

Number: 2

After spotting a female two days earlier, this juvenile male waited out a rainstorm on our feeder at 6 pm 09/28/23 staying about 30 minutes. He perched with his beak pointed straight up during the hardest rain but then began fluttering his wings and tail feathers seemingly bathing in it. He drank off and on the whole time there. He returned a short time later for more and stayed about 10 minutes before taking off for shelter. It was starting to get dark a short time later so his timing was good.
