Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/29/2023

Number: 3

3 (possibly 4) ruby-throated hummingbirds did a lot of perching between nectaring sessions. Nectaring again was mainly from feeders and black-and-blue salvias. I'm pretty sure all were juveniles. 1 is about 1/2 the size of the others. The day was mostly cloudy with some heavy rain. High temperature was in low 70's. Clear skies in the evening. There was almost no fighting. Last RTHB observed today was at 7:03 p.m. central daylight time. Hoping for an October sighting.
