A bright female monarch was on top of a tomato in our garden. I looked again and she was gone, so I thought I was seeing things. My husband confirmed the sighting a few minutes later as he saw a monarch by our well house.
In previous years we've seen monarchs as late as Oct. 10, so this may not be the last one of the year.
