At a little after 5PM we spotted a ruby throat hummingbird visiting the cardinal flowers. She was a juvenile female. I tried to get a photo but she was very skittish of my presence. I went back in the house and she came back. She was at the flowers and a tree for twenty minutes. She never went to the feeder nearby. Our last one left on 9/24. So I was surprised to see one.
