Monarchs are going on their 3rd week of favourable weather allowing them easy passage to continue their journey south. On this evening at the Tip at Point Pelee National Park 9 were seen 5:35-7:10 before 7:08 sunset. Actually the last one I saw was at 6:10. All but one flew north to south 40-50' high above west shoreline & continued south out over the glassy lake. One basked in the sunshine on a tree on west path. Very light ESE wind at 4/12 kmh. 21° & sunny. Daytime high 26c. Overnight low 19°. It all changes tomorrow with arrival of a coldfront & stronger southerly winds.
Plenty of NE & Shorts Asters all over the Park.
