Tuesday Oct 3, I spotted a hummingbird @ 7:24 am checking out some flowers on the Clematis Vine, then at 10:30 am I spotted one checking out some Morning Glories. I didn't have a camera with me either time and didn't see or hear any hummers after the last sighting.
At 6:55 am this morning here in Irving, TX, it was a nice and cool 71 degrees and the high is expected to be 94 degrees.
Flowers available for our hummers are: Turks Cap, Tall Mexican Petunias, one group in my back and front yard, and I have the short Mexican Petunias on the front yard side of my house, Rose Mallow bush, hanging basket of red Petunias, pot of Red Pentas in a tall plant stand, vine with purple Clematis (not very many on the vine) some morning glories that have popped up on my fence, Garden Phlox, a Big Crepe Myrtle tree in my front yard. I have a Fire Bush that have lots of buds on it, some have opened up. The Fire Bush buds always open up @ the end of hummingbird season.
