There was a gust-front mini-migration flyover above Enid today but it was short lived so this is NOT peak migration. I expect such tomorrow in advance of a stronger cold front.
What gave me the cue to look up is wave upon wave of migrating buzzards while the wind was still from the south. When the wind switched around, the monarchs started, about 5:25pm at a trickle, then got to be 2 monarchs per second until about 6:45pm.
