This morning there were 4 clusters of >10 monarchs in old favorite black willow west side of woods and a scattering all over the place. The most I've ever seen on that tree. This morning I gave up trying to count monarchs because the weather was grey and misting, most weren't going anywhere. Then I took a walk around the perimeter of the woods, ditches, and maximilian sunflowers bordering the pond. It all adds up to at least 400.
Temp was about 66F, no wind. We got first rain in weeks last night.
