Western Monarch, I believe it was a male due to thin veins. Couldn’t observe closely as it was easily stirred. Wings, flight, coloring, all perfect! Water has been in this ditch since the runoff started. Many varieties of moth and/or butterflies, dragonflies, horned toads, lizards, bees, and birds. Rabbit Brush is in full bloom. It’s been years since I’ve seen this much color and life out here.
