To my surprise our resident hummingbirds left a week ago.Today a single hummer was buzzing my flowers and feeders.
I'm guessing she was coming down from the north and swinging by for a break.

Folks, I can't stress, please keep watering your flowers and keep those feeders cleaned and filled with fresh nectar. Though the weather is cooler,the sun is still strong and spoils the food.
I have 7 feeders scattered around our 4acres. On hooks, in evergreens,hanging on limbs and even made a dead Alberta Spruce into a cut feeding station

We're expecting 35deg nights so....I warm the food before refilling in the morning.

And yes Ive noticed they will visit a warmed feeder over cold.
