Looks like the migration may be starting. Up to today I've noted 1 or 2 Monarchs at a time over the past couple of weeks. Today, around noon the number has increased greatly. At a glance around the flowers I could easily count two dozen on the flowers as well as more around the backyard. Also nearly an equal number in flight over our property.
Temperature now is in the high 70s with a light northerly breeze. The butterflies all appear to be strong and flying well.
