I fed the caterpillar captured on Tuesday Oct 3 milkweed leaves and flower budS

Caterpillar ate voraciously all day Wednesday Oct 4.

By Thursday 0ct 5 it had climbed to the top of the wire mesh tunnel I made for it. (I have a picture)

It then attached its tail to a wire and began hanging upside down in curled up in a “U” shape. (I have a picture)

This morning Friday Oct 6 at 5:30am the caterpillar was still curled up.

When I checked again at 6:30am, it had transformed into a chrysalis.
