5:35-7:10 before 7:03 sunset, about 225 monarchs seen on east side of Tip in clusters already established (5:45), looking west from standing on east sandy shoreline. Clusters were also located in Tip interior trees. Several monarchs still flying around & looking to join established clusters. They were in Hackberry & Mulberry trees anywhere from 6' up to 45/50' up, all on east/southeast sides of trees. There were clusters of 2's, 3's, up to 15, & two largest were about 55.
Mostly sunny & 17°c with very strong west wind @ 25/33kmh.
Daytime high 18c, overnight low 8°c. Unfavourable west wind will continue for a few days. Plenty of asters in the park to sustain them.
