Location: backyard, inner-city.
I saw 4 total.
3 traveling together on Oct.3, one single Oct.4. afternoon- 70s, sunny,
Oct.4 was somewhat windy.

All eating from the same plant- believe it’s called white field aster, about 5-6’h& w.
Had Showy Goldenrod in full bloom, but they used the aster.

fyi: The aster I did not plant. Past 2 yrs been leaving areas of my yard unmowed to create wildlife habitat.

Been here since spring 2021, when I planted 1 whorled milkweed- had 10 monarch caterpillars on that plant that summer!
Hadn’t seen any since this these 4 traveling thru.
